Chintz and Luster Pendant
This pendant features a chintz style design framed with burnished gold and luster. The floral design is transferred to the cab and then hand painted with china paints. Then the floral design was framed with hand drawn raised scrollwork and fired. After the raised scrollwork was fired the luster was applied and Burnished Gold was applied to the scrollwork. Burnished gold is a high gold content gold luster that has a rich satin finish. Burnished gold is much more rich and expensive than liquid brite shiny gold and requires polishing after firing. To achieve the depth in the design and the raised border with the luster this piece has been fired 4 times in the china temperatures plus the bisque and glaze firing for a total of 6 firings.

2 3/8" (60mm) wide at widest point by 2 3/8" (60mm) long from top to point.
