Art Nouveau Poppy Cab This porcelain pendant features an Art Nouveau design taken from antique china.  The design was transferred onto the cab and then hand painted with china paints.  It was then highlighted with Burnished Gold.  Burnished gold is a high gold content gold luster that has a rich satin finish.  Burnished gold is much more rich and expensive than liquid brite shiny gold.  This is the same gold that you would have found on the original antique china that this design came from.  To achieve the depth and beauty of this design it has been painted and fired 4 times in addition to the bisque and glaze firings for a total of 6 firings.  The underlying pendant is made of porcelain and glazed with a clear glaze on the top.
