These cabs feature a design taken from the ancient mound builder pottery designs.  The design is transferred onto the glazed porcelain cab  then fired again.
The Moundbuilders lived in the greater Mississippi Valley area and made pottery throughout the woodland and mississippian time periods ranging from around 400-1600AD  The designs on these cabs are taken from artifacts found from this culture.
