Lady and Dog -- Wedgwood Bead  The intricate lady and dog design on this bead was carefully applied using the slip trailing method.  The basic design is first laid out freehand using a pencil.  Then the white porcelain is meticulously  applied with a fine tipped brush.  To create the shading and folds in the gown multiple thin layers of white porcelain are applied.  For more information on this process refer to my tutorial here: Wedgwood Tutorial This lovely bead is a large hole bead suitable for use with fibers or braids.  The bead is 23mm tall by 17mm wide with a 4mm hole.
