Mermaid Focal Bead
This lovely focal bead features a mermaid with some fish, a seahorse, and a starfish. The design is all slip trailed on free hand with various colored porcelains. After firing some details were added with china paint such as the mermaid lips, cheeks, and eyes; the stripes and eyes on the fish, and some additional color on the seaweed. Mother of pearl was added to the mermaid tail and her shell. Then the bead was again fired. It is a hollow cast porcelain bead so it is very lightweight and will not weight down your necklace. The hole runs vertical to the design so you can use it as a pendant or as a focal on the side of a necklace.

1 5/16"(33mm) diameter 5/16" (8mm) thick.
